The Sponsor of this Promotion is Mimeo.com, Inc. (“Sponsor”) whose registered office is at 3 Park Avenue, 22nd FL, New York, NY 10016.


The Contest is offered to anyone (including professional photographers and artists) at least eighteen (18) years of age or older, as of October 23, 2018 unless prohibited by law.

Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, directors, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Mimeo.com, Inc., and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter Contest. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.


Create a Mimeo Photos photobook of your city and compete with photographers across the world, beginning October 23, 2018 at 12:01 AM (EST) through November 26, 2018 at 11:59 PM (EST) (“Contest Period”).

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Entry is free. However, Entrants will need to assume any internet or mobile connection costs incurred when entering.

TO ENTER THE CONTEST: Entrants may only enter through the Mimeo Photos MacOS App, no exceptions made. We accept entries taken with any kind of camera (including a smartphone). Entrants must select the photobook “Hardcover Landscape” layout and use Contest Promo Code MYCITYMP at Order checkout. No physical photobook will be printed as part of a Contest submission. Entrants will receive (1) one entry into the Contest (See timing details above). LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER CONTEST PERIOD PER PERSON BY ENTRY METHOD. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

For Mimeo Photos App entries, you understand that you are providing your information to Sponsor and not to Apple Inc. (“Apple”) as this Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Apple nor is Apple associated with this Contest in any way. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this Contest must be directed to the Sponsor, and not to Apple.

Sponsor can provide no technical support and accepts no responsibility for insuring the receipt or successful submission of your entry. Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, mobile transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this Contest. Except as otherwise contemplated by these Official Rules, and to the extent Entrants may otherwise elect at the time of Entry, information provided by you for these Contest is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy located at https://www.mimeophotos.com/privacy-policy/

Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received during the Contest Period.

Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to modify these Official Rules, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend all or any part of the Contest. If canceled, Sponsor reserves the right at its discretion to determine the winner using all non-suspect eligible entries received up to the time of cancellation. Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial, delayed or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind in connection with entries or the entry process, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software.


All entries will be judged by Nigel Barker based equally on the following criteria: creativity, quality and originality of photos from their favorite city. Every week, top entries will be deemed potential finalists, who will compete for a chance at the Grand Finalist Prize. One (1) Grand Finalist winner will be selected at the end of the Contest end period (“Winner”).


The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by December 1, 2018 and shall be notified by e-mail and/or phone within approximately ten days (10 days) of the Contest close date. If contact with the Winner is not made within seven days (7 days) of the drawing date, the Winner will be disqualified and an alternate will be selected from the remaining valid potential finalist entries from the same entry pool. Failure to timely comply with any requirement of these terms and conditions will result in the winning entrant being deemed ineligible for any prize.

In the event winner is deemed ineligible, fails to comply with Contest procedures, or is not available to claim prize during specified dates, then an alternate winner will be selected at from the same potential finalist entry pool as the original entry was selected.

Final determination of Winner is always conditional on verification of eligibility and compliance with all rules and procedures.


One (1) Winner will receive Grand Prize for the duration of “MY CITY Mimeo Photos Contest”. The “Prize” will be:
A paid trip for two (2) to New York City
Two (2) Night hotel stay
One-on-One Master Class Training and a photo shoot with world-renowned photographer and Mimeo Photos Creative Director, Nigel Barker
VIP tour with Nigel of an iconic landmark building
Twenty-five (25) copies of their photobook, including a forward by Nigel and original signature
Winner to be featured on Mimeo Photos Website and Social Media outlets

Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No substitution allowed except, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted. Prize elements may not be separated. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.


Photobooks are limited only, in its entirety, to a single work of original material taken by the Contest Entrant and to which he or she retains all copyrights. Any conflicts or dispute that result from featuring subjects or work product for which the rights do not belong to the Entrant must be settled by the Entrant and Mimeo.com, Inc. will incur no liability whatsoever. If a violation of copyrights is identified, that entry will be disqualified. If a violation of copyrights is identified after winners are announced, the win may be revoked and the entrant will lose the right to claim Prize. Depending on the country in which a winner resides, the prize may have to be changed in case the prize does not meet local standards and regulations. If the subject of a photo is a person, permission must be received from that person (parent or guardian in the case of a minor) before the photo can be entered in the Contest.


By participating, Entrant agrees: (i) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects; (ii) that Entrant content does not infringe or violate any third party rights; and (iii) that Entrant content does not violate any law or regulation.

By participating in the Contest and/or accepting any prize that they may win, Entrants agree to release Mimeo.com, Inc., and its subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest and/or acceptance or use of the Prize.

Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their images, name, voice, likeness, biographical data, social media account details, country, city and state of residence and entry materials in promotional material, in any media now known or hereafter created or conceived, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.

To claim Prize Winner must, within seven (7) days following the date of Sponsor’s first attempted notification: (a) provide proof of winner’s age, residency, and legal status; (b) sign and return eligibility, publicity, liability, rules compliance and any other releases requested by Sponsor; and (c) have winner’s intended guest(s) or travel companion(s), if any, sign and return releases requested by Sponsor; all within the time period(s) specified by Sponsor. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the Prize and selection of an alternate winner.


Void where prohibited. Sponsor will prosecute any fraudulent activities to the full extent of the law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor is not responsible for any printing, typographical, mechanical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest or in the announcement of the Prize.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the Contest as originally planned.

Copyrights or ownership rights to any image submitted as an entry shall remain with the respective Entrant. However, to the extent permitted by law, by submitting the entry Entrant grants Mimeo.com, Inc. and its affiliate and subsidiary companies, perpetual, royalty free, and irrevocable, worldwide rights to feature, display, post, copy, print, or otherwise use the submitted images in any of Mimeo’s websites, emails, catalogs, posters, magazine or newspaper articles, books, third-party websites, exhibitions, and any promotional material, globally, during the Contest and for a period of three (3) years after the Contest is over.
Disputes/Choice of Law: Except where prohibited, each Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any Prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by state or federal courts situated in New York, NY; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys’ fees; (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including without limitation lost profits may be awarded (collectively, “Special Damages”); and (4) Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased. New York law, without reference to New York’s choice of law rules, governs the Contest and all aspects related thereto.
